Our collection of bamboo baskets are weaved by hill-tribe men and women residing in the rain forested mountain regions of Northern Thailand. Our products are made following the ancient methods and techniques handed down from generation to generation of the local residents. Our own quality control experts live right in the villages where the baskets are produced to ensure a high quality product every time.
After the weaving procedure is finished the baskets are transported to our factory in Chiang Mai. Here we do a careful treatment against insects in addition to placing all products into a dry kiln for four days to ensure all moisture is removed.
We are well known for our careful finishing touch. We are proud to have Quality Control Experts with life long experience overseeing this part of the production procedure.
Manufacturing of Bulrush BasketsOur collection of bulrush fiber baskets are made by rural people living in the marsh areas of Thailand. These people use ancient
techniques that have been handed down from generation to generation in the production of these beautiful baskets. Throughout the entire weaving process we have our own Quality Control experts on hand to supervise.
After the weaving procedure is finished we bring the baskets to our factory in Chiang Mai. Here we further process the raw material to match our beautiful, exclusive collection. Coloring the bulrush products can be a very difficult procedure. Bulrush is a natural material which may act differently to the coloring process from time to time. At our factory we are proud to have experts with life long experience in the process of coloring bulrush products.The “bulrush” is the common name for Typha: a water plant growing wild in the marsh areas of Thailand.
The Basket lining.
We are recognized for the high quality lining of our baskets which are 100% silk. The lining gives our baskets a very exclusive and luxurious look. It makes them very suitable for storage of cloth and other delicate items that need special care.
Our lining procedure is done in three layers and bonded solidly to the inside of the basket. For baskets with a lid; the same lining procedure is done inside the lid as well. It makes the finished product perfect. All our lined items go through a very careful quality control procedure to ensure a top quality finished product.
